  • SWEATER DISTRIBUTION PROJECT – 27TH DECEMBER 2024 AT VILLAGE PETHAPUR On 27th December 2024, As a part of our aim to prevent illness in the villages, Herva Foundation organized a sweater distribution project at the primary school in a small, underprivileged village of Pethapur, District Kheda. As part of this initiative, we provided sweaters to 67 students, ensuring they were equipped to face the winter season. Pethapura is home to small-scale farmers and low-income families, where affording necessities like winter clothing often becomes a challenge. The inspiration for this project stemmed from the dedicated efforts of the school’s principal, Mrs. Jignisha ben, who took charge a year ago. Witnessing the dilapidated condition of the school upon her arrival, she prioritized improving the environment by personally funding the cleaning of the premises and installing a clean drinking water facility. When we recently visited the neighbouring village of Rasikpura, Mrs Jignishaben reached out to us, highlighting the urgent need for winter relief for her students. Her determination and proactive support played a crucial role in making this initiative a success. The project not only brought warmth to the children but also reinforced the importance of collective efforts in uplifting underserved communities. Special thanks to our donors. This noble work was possible with the support of Amit Mishra, Shailesh Goyal, Paragbhai Parikh and Deepak Padia.

  • Sweater Distribution Drive at Rasikpura Village – December 13, 2024
On a cold winter day in Rasikpura village, 282 young students from grades 1 to 5 received warm sweaters as part of our sweater distribution drive. The children's measurements were taken earlier on December 5, ensuring a perfect fit for each one.
The sight of children braving the cold without adequate warm clothing was a stark reminder of the challenges faced by families in these villages. Many households here rely on small-scale farming or low-income jobs, making it difficult to prioritize essentials like winter clothing for their children. Understanding this pressing need, we undertook this initiative to provide sweaters, ensuring these children have some protection against the harsh winter chill.
The distribution drive was made successful thanks to the unwavering support and cooperation of the school principal and staff, who played a key role in organizing and facilitating the event. We are also deeply grateful to the village Sarpanch for his active participation and presence throughout the program.
This effort reflects our ongoing commitment to supporting underprivileged communities and ensuring their children can thrive in a safe and nurturing environment.

  • CYBER AWARENESS AND RESPONSIBILITY SESSION – VILLAGE Kevadiya
On Saturday,23th Nov -2024, we conducted *"The Cyber Awareness and Responsibility Session" at Kevadiya Primary School, Taluka Kapadvanj, Jilla Kheda. The session was attended by students from STD 5 to 8
Herva Foundation aims to provide our villages with the latest technology in use in the cities and we also bring to the villagers' awareness of the harmful effects of modern technology. The session's primary focus was to educate students about the various cyber-related crimes prevalent today and equip them with knowledge about the necessary precautions to take. Additionally, the program guides what steps to follow if they or someone they know falls victim to cybercrime.
Key topics covered included: - Social Media Privacy, - Password Protection, - Cyberbullying, - The Dangers of Selfies and Location Sharing, - Online Gaming Safety, - Cyber Frauds
Like in other villages, the number of students, both boys and girls, who are already connected to the internet in this village was again surprising. As in the cities, many rural students are now prone to the risk of online fraud and health hazards.
A special note of appreciation goes to the Principal, teachers, and, of course, the students for their participation in this important event and for having an interesting interactive session. We also thank Archa and her enthusiastic team for spending their valuable time at the village and helping us to bring smiles to the faces of the villagers.

  • DATE**: 26th September 2024
LOCATION**: Village Kathada, Surendranagar District Taluka**: Dasada
**MEDICAL CAMP AND EYE CHECK-UP CAMP**
On 26th September, we conducted two health camps—a Medical Camp and an Eye Check-Up Camp—at the scenic primary school in the remote village of Kathada, Surendranagar district, in association with SEWA. Despite being a small village with a population of 2,500, Kathada boasts a beautifully maintained school with lush greenery, creating an ideal environment for the camp.
**EYE CHECK-UP CAMP**
A total of 125 villagers benefited from the eye check-up camp. Subsidized spectacles were provided to those in need, and individuals diagnosed with cataracts were referred to the nearest eye hospital for further treatment.
**Special Thanks**: Dr. Chandrakant Patel for his valuable services.
 **MEDICAL CAMP**
Dr. Mahesh Bhavsar attended to 45 patients at the medical camp, where free medicines were distributed to those in need.
As part of our ongoing awareness initiative, we also organized a screening of the educational video "Hello Periods" for senior girls of the school. This comic-style video helped raise awareness about menstruation, ensuring that the girls received essential health education.
